Photo of the Week: The Chocolate Brown Beaches of Guanacaste, Costa Rica

Beyond, Destinations, Photo of the Week, Travel News, Tips & More

-> A weekly snapshot {sometimes two, or three…} and musings from my WANDERful life. <-

I’ve walked the powder-white sand beaches of Siesta Key, Florida, the pink sand beaches of Bermuda and the black sand beaches of Maui – all breathtaking in their own way. Last summer for business I visited Guanacaste, Costa Rica and was mesmerized by the area’s chocolate brown shoreline.

Have you ever seen chocolate-colored sand? If so, I’d love to hear where! And if you have the opportunity to visit Guanacaste, I highly recommend it for the pristine landscapes alone. Gorgeous, natural sights everywhere you look and an incredible amount of wildlife critters! {A Howler Monkey sighting is basically a guarantee in this region!}
