Recap: Ridgefield Wine Week’s Sunset Wine Party!

Ridgefield’s first ever Sunset Wine Party, the grand finale of the inaugural Ridgefield Wine Week, was a smashing success. As a wine-lover myself, I jumped at the opportunity to work with Paula Alonso Ktorides, founder of Wine Revolution, to oversee the communications for Ridgefield Wine Week. {Duff PR‘s first local client!}

Pre-event visit from my babe!

With over 400 tickets issued, wine-lovers from throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties filled the iconic Lounsbury House last Sunday evening to taste over 80 wines that were hand selected by Ancona’s Wines & Liquors, try delicious food prepared by Gallo Ridgefield’s Executive Chef Giuseppe Castellano and sway to the beats of DJ Sean Big Daddy.

A portion of ticket proceeds were donated to Ridgefield Independent Film Festival and The Ridgefield Playhouse, and in addition to tastes, attendees could purchase wines by-the-glass, with a portion going to charity.

It was a pleasure having in attendance Bev and Lora, the dynamic duo behind Unlocking Connecticut (who I’d worked with on numerous occasions but had never met,) Geoffrey Morris of TownVibe (which was a wonderful sponsor of the event) and bloggers Kate Maccio from Kate from Connecticut, Micha from New England and A Broad, Andrea from The Hangry Italian Girl & more.
