After missing the Andy Warhol: Campbell’s Soup Cans exhibit at the Museum of Modern Art I decided I wasn’t going to miss the much-buzzed about Picasso Sculpture exhibit, on display now through February 7, 2016. In addition to being a member of the museum, making a quick “pop-in” very easy, one of the hotels I rep, which I visit at least every other week, is located just blocks from the Museum of Modern Art. (Conclusion: I really didn’t have an excuse to miss this one.)
So last week I grabbed one of my colleagues and we headed to MoMA for some post-work Picasso. The exhibit was curated SO well. A vast collection that spans the course of his career, the exhibit features over 100 sculptures complemented by select works on paper and photographs.
I highly suggest you pay this exceptional exhibit a visit, but if that’s not possible, here are a few iPhone snaps of my favorite sights:
Amanda’s Tip: If you frequent NYC, become a member of the Museum of Modern Art. Priced starting at $85 for an Individual Membership, you’ll enjoy unlimited free membership, no waiting in line for a ticket, $5 tickets for guests, a special members-only (read: short) line for coat & bag check, invitations to members-only gallery talks, exhibition previews and more. My favorite “perk” is that I don’t feel like I’m wasting money if I buy a ticket ($25) and only have 45 minutes to spend there. I love the flexibility of being able to “pop-in” when I have a half hour to spare! Click here for more info about membership!
